Science Fiction Art in the Far Future

ft wireframe

I've been playing around with 3d software for years, and naturally I've rendered a few Traveller-influenced scenes. No, let's be honest, more than a few. Lots, in fact. It all started as a hobby, but I accidentally seem to have become a professional artist. I'm sure it's all a big mistake, and they'll be along in a minute to ask for their money back...

The early pictures were created using Moray 3.3 (including some 3rd party plugins) and POV-Ray 3.1. From 2002 onwards I've been using Cinema 4D (initially version 5SE, and currently (November 2008) R11XL). Figures were created using Poser 4.03. Most of the texture maps were drawn in Paint Shop Pro, although one or two bits and pieces (like the nose art on the Lady Eloise, above) were stolen from places on the internet whose location I've forgotten...so if they're yours, please don't sue me!

NEWS:

Yes, that's one of my pictures on the cover of the Traveller5 CD! Yippee!
